Personal life update: leaving Kortix.
July 31 will be my last day.
I never thought I would write this post. And yet, here I am.
First of all, thank you to Marko for this incredible adventure of almost two years.
We met in November 2024, right as the world started talking about vibe coding.
It began with a few messages on Twitter.
Before long I was inside a project that would lead to my first real exit.
From November 2024 to April 2025 we never met in person.
And still, working fully remotely, we built and scaled a product to about $600k ARR in three months, and sold it in the United States.
In April 2025 we finally met in Lisbon, during a team retreat.
That is where this photo was taken.
We had just launched Suna: more than 6 million impressions, 15,000 users in the first two days, and more than 18,000 GitHub stars within a few months.
An incredible result for what became one of the first open-source general AI agents to reach that kind of scale.
And all of it was built by a team of just four people.
In a little over a year I learned lessons I probably would not have learned in ten or fifteen years inside a traditional company.
I lived between San Francisco and Europe.
I got an O-1 visa for the United States.
I got to work with exceptional people and see up close what it means to build an AI startup with global ambitions.
That is why this was not an easy decision.
But I feel this is the right moment to start a new chapter and contribute to Italy and Europe.
As Paulo Coelho writes in The Alchemist: you have to learn to read the signs, and find the courage to pursue your Personal Legend.
I do not know exactly what I will do next. I do know I want to help build the technological future of Italy and Europe.
